Dr. Dy has therapeutic interests in brachial plexus injury, peripheral nerve surgery (including upper and lower limb nerve injury), wide-wake hand surgery, neuropathic compression, nerve grafting, nerve relocation, nerve repair, decompression of the nerve,  carpal tunnel release, cubital tunnel release, neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome, fractures of the hand, fractures of distal radius and fractures of the wrist. Dr. Dy is also the host of his own podcast, the Upper Hand: Chuck & Chris Talk Hand Surgery‬, where the weekly podcast will cover everything from the scientific aspects of what they do (diagnosis, treatment) to their more personal perspectives on events and opportunities that hand surgeons encounter.

He has also travelled abroad to obtain additional experience in the treatment of peripheral nerve and brachial plexus damage. He finished his residency for Orthopaedic Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery – New York, and his fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. He is also an American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Diplomate and American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Subspecialty Certificate in Hand Surgery.
